Snow Canyon Middle School
Snow Canyon Middle School opened in the fall of 1992 and is one of the five middle schools in the Washington County School District. We serve 8th and 9th grade students from the town of Gunlock, the Shivwitts Indian Reservation, the cities of Ivins and Santa Clara and the following St. George neighborhoods: Dixie Downs, Entrada, Sunset, Graham and Shadow Mountain. We are part of the Snow Canyon Cone Site (Lava Ridge, SCMS, and SCHS) Our students attend Snow Canyon High School for the 10th, 11th and 12th grades. Our feeder schools include Lava Ridge Intermediate (6th and 7th grade) and the following elementary schools (K-5) Red Mountain, Santa Clara, Sunset, Arrowhead, Dixie Downs and Coral Cliffs.
Spartan Student Council
For years, the Student Council here at Snow Canyon Middle has played an active role in activities and assemblies. Always looking to serve the student body, these students are chosen through elections and letters of appointment. The Student Council looks forward to serving the student body in every way possible to provide a great school experience. The Student Council is continually looking for new ways to innovate how we serve our students in a changing world.
